  • Une étude publiée mercredi dans Nature décrit Urokodia aequalis, une créature de l'ère cambrienne portant les plus anciens chélicères connus, précurseurs des crochets d'araignée.
  • Des scanners à rayons X du fossile vieux de 518 millions d'années provenant du site de Chengjiang en Chine ont révélé une anatomie molle préservée, y compris des membres en forme de pince derrière ses yeux.
  • La découverte repousse le registre fossile des chélicérates de 18 millions d'années au-delà du plus ancien membre connu précédemment, décrit par des chercheurs de Harvard en avril.
