  • Des chercheurs de Caltech et de Google ont publié jeudi dans Science Advances des résultats montrant que les nuages bas s'amincissent plus rapidement à mesure que le CO2 augmente, créant une boucle de rétroaction qui accélère le réchauffement.
  • L'étude a utilisé plus de 7 000 simulations haute résolution pour isoler la manière dont la hausse du CO2 et le réchauffement des océans déstabilisent les couches nuageuses du Pacifique tropical.
  • Les résultats suggèrent que la sensibilité climatique de la Terre pourrait se situer dans la fourchette haute des estimations actuelles, renforçant les inquiétudes concernant les projections des modèles existants.
