  • LST-1 y MAGIC, dos telescopios situados en España, captaron rayos gamma del blazar OP 313, estableciendo un nuevo récord de distancia con un desplazamiento al rojo de 0,997.
  • Los fotones viajaron aproximadamente 8.000 millones de años, lo que permite a los investigadores acotar la densidad de la luz de fondo extragaláctica a lo largo de la historia cósmica.
  • Está previsto inaugurar una red completa de cuatro telescopios LST en el observatorio de La Palma el 15 de octubre, lo que promete un alcance de observación aún mayor.
