Siad had been under investigation in France on allegations of human trafficking and rape but had not yet been formally questioned by investigators at the time of his death. At least five women accused him of grooming and abuse, with the first complaint filed in February 2026 by Ebba Karlsson, a Swedish former model who alleged Siad raped her in 1990 and trafficked women to Epstein. A second complaint followed weeks later.News France et internationales : médias, politique, sport, culture et people - ENTREVUE.FR+3
A former French model identified as Juliette publicly accused Siad in May of grooming her with the aim of introducing her to potential abusers connected to Epstein. Siad consistently denied all wrongdoing, insisting his decade-long relationship with Epstein was strictly professional and that he never sent minors to the United States.youtube+2
The declassified Epstein documents revealed hundreds of emails in which Siad sent photographs of young women to Epstein and discussed arrangements for them to meet, according to a CNN investigation published in June. The files showed Epstein paid tens of thousands of dollars to Siad over the course of their relationship. France 24 reported in February that Siad appeared in more than 1,000 of the latest batch of declassified documents.youtube+1
The Paris prosecutor's office had opened separate investigations in February into human trafficking and financial offenses linked to French nationals in the Epstein case. Siad's death leaves the French judicial inquiry without one of its central figures. No further details on the circumstances of his death have been disclosed pending the autopsy results.Le Monde+1
