Editorial Standards

Updater News is an independent international news service. We publish concise, clearly sourced news briefings in 14 languages, so readers across Europe, the Caucasus, and beyond can follow world events quickly, in their own language.

How we work

Our newsroom follows significant stories as they develop around the world. For every story, we prepare a short briefing that brings together what established news outlets are reporting, and we publish it in all of our language editions at once. We combine editorial oversight with modern publishing technology so that readers get the essentials of a developing story within minutes, not hours.

Sources and transparency

We believe readers should always see where a story comes from. Every briefing lists the publications it draws on, with direct links to the original reporting, one tap away on any article. We do not present other outlets' original reporting as our own, and we encourage readers to read the source coverage in full.

Corrections

We aim for accuracy in every language we publish. If you believe an article contains an error, in a fact, a name, a figure, or a translation, write to [email protected] with a link to the article and a short description. We review every report.

When a correction is confirmed, we update the article promptly across all language editions, and significant factual corrections are noted on the article itself.

Who is responsible

Updater News was founded by Solomon Gomareli, who serves as Editor-in-Chief and is responsible for the service's editorial standards, source selection, and overall quality across all editions.
