China-ASEAN trade topped $1 trillion for first time in 2025, officials say

  • The two sides are working to bring the FTA 3.0 Upgrade Protocol, signed in October 2025, into force, expanding cooperation into digital, green and supply chain sectors.
  • The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo, set for Sept. 17–21 in Nanning, is expected to draw more than 3,200 companies from both sides, according to officials.
