tokenpost.com.reuters.com.renaissancecapital.com+1.Anthropic has opened a dedicated website for its initial public offering, ipo.anthropic.com. The site has separate entry paths for the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Japan, and it includes Japanese-language text. For now the page shows only three circles and a note that more information will follow, TokenPost reported on Nov. 4. The launch is another step toward a Nasdaq listing under the ticker ANT. Anthropic plans to sell shares to individual investors in more than a dozen countries and expects to raise up to $3.5 billion in Japan.tokenpost.com
The company's retail plans reach further than the five countries shown on the website. An Anthropic help page says the offering is expected to include retail sales in Australia, Canada, Japan, Switzerland and the UK. It also lists nine European Economic Area countries: Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden. Anthropic says it does not plan to list its stock on any exchange outside the US.support.claude.com
The page names the firms that will handle orders in each market. Interactive Brokers and Revolut will take orders in both the UK and Europe. In Japan, the brokers are Mizuho, Rakuten, SBI and Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley. Australian investors can use CommSec and Macquarie, among others. RetailBook is coordinating the UK retail offer, according to Anthropic. Anthropic says it has not authorized any other firm or platform to offer the shares in those countries.support.claude.com
A filing published Nov. 2 shows Anthropic will sell up to 552.9 billion yen, or about $3.5 billion, of shares in Japan as part of its US listing, Reuters Thomson Reuters Corporation reported. Mizuho Securities will manage the Japanese sale. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities are among the firms taking investor orders, according to Bloomberg. Individual investors in Japan can buy at the pre-listing price, following a similar route SpaceX used in June, when it raised about $2.2 billion from Japanese buyers, Chosun Ilbo reported. The Japanese registration statement has not yet taken effect, so no shares can be sold there until it does, Anthropic notes.reuters.com+3
Anthropic made its prospectus public on Oct. 26. It amended the filing on Nov. 2 to add results for the nine months through September, Renaissance Capital said. SEC rules require a company to wait 15 days after making its filing public before starting a roadshow. That would let Anthropic begin pitching investors as soon as the week of Nov. 9 and list as soon as the week of Nov. 16, MarketWatch reported. The plan is to finish the deal before Thanksgiving.renaissancecapital.com+1
Anthropic has not yet announced a price range, a share count or a first trading date. Under SEC timing rules, the earliest the shares could start trading is Monday, Nov. 16, according to Yahoo Finance calculations.ca.finance.yahoo.com
