Xbox unveils disc-to-digital program at Gamescom

Microsoft ↗ 2.68% officially unveiled its disc-to-digital program at Gamescom 2026 on Wednesday, allowing Xbox One and Xbox Series X owners to claim free digital versions of their physical game discs. Xbox Insiders will be the first to test the feature starting Monday, Aug. 31.

How It Works
