PayPal launches platform letting businesses mint custom stablecoins

PayPal on Wednesday launched PYUSDx, a developer platform that allows businesses to create their own branded stablecoins backed one-to-one by PayPal USD, the company's existing dollar-pegged token issued by Paxos Trust Company.
