Amazon to close Mechanical Turk to new customers

Amazon Amazon.com, Inc. will stop accepting new customers for its Mechanical Turk crowdsourcing platform on July 30, 2026, placing the 21-year-old service into maintenance mode as advances in AI automation erode the need for human microtask labor.
