Two days before Unpacked, Samsung Electronics America unveiled the Galaxy Card, its first proprietary credit card, issued by Barclays on the Visa network. The card, which opened applications to the general public on July 22, offers 5% cash rewards on purchases made directly with Samsung, 3% on purchases through Samsung Wallet, 2% on streaming services, and 1% on all other spending. It carries no annual fee and includes a $200 bonus for spending $2,000 within the first 90 days. The card is available as both a virtual option inside Samsung Wallet and a premium metal physical card.Samsung U.S. Newsroom+2
Together, the stablecoin integration and Galaxy Card signal Samsung's ambition to turn Samsung Wallet into a central financial hub for its device ecosystem. The credit card ties spending rewards directly to Galaxy purchases and services, while stablecoin support opens a path toward broader digital asset functionality. Samsung said the stablecoin feature would make its devices among the first from a major smartphone brand to support such transfers natively.WEEX+3
