CEO Vlad Tenev unveiled the mainnet at "Robinhood Presents: The World is Flat," a global event held in London. The launch comes roughly five months after the chain's public testnet debuted in February, which processed over 100 million transactions during its testing period.robinhood+2
Robinhood Chain is a permissionless Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain built on Arbitrum technology, designed to support tokenized real-world assets including U.S. stocks and ETFs. With the mainnet now live, Robinhood's tokenized stock products — which were first introduced to European users on Arbitrum One in 2025 — are fully operational on the company's own chain.robinhood+2
The network enables 24/7 trading of tokenized securities, onchain lending, and what Robinhood calls "agentic crypto trading," which allows users to connect third-party AI platforms to execute trades autonomously through the company's Model Context Protocol. Chainlink serves as the chain's official data and cross-chain oracle, powering stock token pricing and interoperability.prnewswire+3
Liquidity partners for the launch include Uniswap and Chainlink, alongside infrastructure providers such as Alchemy, LayerZero, and TRM Labs. The chain is accessible to eligible users in over 120 countries, reflecting Robinhood's push to expand internationally through blockchain rails rather than building traditional brokerage infrastructure in each market.facebook+3
To drive adoption, Robinhood is covering gas fees for the first 90 days for eligible users transacting through Robinhood Wallet.thedefiant
The launch caps a rapid development cycle. Robinhood first announced plans for its own blockchain in June 2025, then opened a public testnet on February 10, 2026. The company committed $1 million to the 2026 Arbitrum Open House program to attract developers. By May, a Robinhood executive told attendees at Solana Accelerate in Miami that the mainnet was imminent and would integrate with the company's full product suite.youtube+2
Robinhood's tokenized equity lineup has grown from roughly 200 assets at its EU debut to nearly 2,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs.linkedin+1
