OpenAI open-sources Codex agent framework under Apache 2.0

OpenAI on August 20 released Harness, the core execution framework behind its Codex coding agent, as open-source software under the Apache 2.0 license. The move allows developers to embed, modify, and commercialize the agent infrastructure without funneling all interactions through a general-purpose chat interface.
