Cosmos 3 Edge is a 4-billion-parameter model built on Nvidia's Nemotron architecture, designed to run locally on Nvidia Jetson edge computers rather than in data centers. Unlike the larger Cosmos 3 Super and Nano variants launched at GTC Taipei in late May, the Edge model is optimized for embodied systems that must reason and act with minimal latency. The Edge model launch coincided with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's announcement that a roster of Japanese industrial leaders — including Fanuc, Yaskawa Electric, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Fujitsu, Honda, Sony, SoftBank, Hitachi, and others — intend to join the Nvidia Cosmos Coalition and build on the company's physical AI platforms.usnews+1
