forbes.stocktwits.forbes.Nvidia co-founder and CEO Jensen Huang is now worth more than $200 billion, Forbes estimates. Nvidia shares hit a record high on Friday after Morgan Stanley named the chipmaker its top semiconductor pick again. Forbes put Huang's net worth at $204.5 billion as of 12:30 p.m. EDT Friday, making him the seventh-richest person in the world. That was $4.7 billion more than at the start of the day.forbes
Early Friday, Nvidia's stock rose above $237 a share, its first record high since May. The shares later gave back some of those gains but were still up about 2% at midday, Forbes reported. The company's market value is about $5.7 trillion. That puts it within reach of $6 trillion, a level no company has ever reached.stocktwits+1
Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore restored Nvidia to the bank's top pick after investor meetings with Huang and Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress. He kept an Overweight rating and a $300 price target. "We certainly see NVIDIA as well positioned, with a very undemanding valuation," Moore wrote, citing the breadth of the company's customer base.finbold+2
The bank said Nvidia's customers include both large cloud providers and frontier AI labs. It also pointed to the company's focus on earning more revenue for each gigawatt of power it deploys. According to MarketWatch's reporting, Morgan Stanley also cited the early stage of Nvidia's Vera product cycle, supply limits that favor established suppliers, and rising demand for processors from AI agents, software that carries out tasks on its own. Bloomberg credited agents such as Meta's Muse with driving demand for chips, Forbes noted.forbes+2
The rally comes days after Nvidia approved a $150 billion share buyback on September 28. In its most recent quarter, which ended July 26, Nvidia reported revenue of $96.2 billion, up 106% from a year earlier.roic+1
This is not the first time Huang has crossed the $200 billion mark. He first passed it in May, when Nvidia stock rose 20% in seven days. That rally followed U.S. approval for sales of Nvidia's H200 chips to 10 Chinese tech firms, and came as Huang joined President Donald Trump on a trip to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping. Last month his fortune neared $200 billion again after Nvidia said it would buy the AI startup Hugging Face.forbes
Huang co-founded Nvidia in 1993 and owns about 4% of its stock. The shares are up about 26% so far in 2026, Forbes calculated. Nvidia became the world's most valuable public company during the AI boom, though Apple briefly overtook it over the summer.forbes
