engadget+1theverge+1theverge+1Google Alphabet Inc. held its Made by Google 2026 event on Wednesday, unveiling four new Pixel 11 phones, the Pixel Watch 5, and a new Bluetooth tracker called the Pixel Tag — the company's first direct competitor to Apple's AirTag.
The Pixel 11 series includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, all powered by Google's new Tensor G6 processor. Google says the chip delivers up to 20 percent more power efficiency, 25 percent faster web browsing, and 15 percent faster app loading compared to the previous generation.engadget+1
The phones feature a redesigned camera bar that is more than 40 percent thinner than the Pixel 10's, with an edge-to-edge glass surface and metal frame. The Pro models introduce "HiLight," a small LED indicator light embedded in the camera bar for Gemini interactions and incoming calls.theverge+1
Every model received a $100 price increase over its predecessor. The Pixel 11 starts at $899, the Pro at $1,099, the Pro XL at $1,299, and the Pro Fold at $1,899. Google partially offsets the hike by doubling base storage to 256GB on the standard and Pro models. Pre-orders open today with shipping beginning August 20.techcrunch+2
The Pixel Watch 5 adds health features including Breathing Emergency Detection, which can trigger an emergency call if it detects a sustained drop in blood oxygen levels. Monthly blood pressure and insulin resistance trend reports are coming in September. The watch starts at $399 for the 41mm model and $429 for the 45mm version, with a Stephen Curry edition at $579.techcrunch+1
The Pixel Tag, launching November 11, is priced at $29 individually or $99 for a four-pack. The oblong tracker connects to Android's Find Hub network, supports voice-controlled location via Gemini on Pixel Buds, and has a replaceable battery rated for over a year.theverge+1
Google devoted much of the event to Gemini-powered features. A new "Rambler" voice-input tool is designed to understand natural, unstructured speech. Live Transcribe now supports American Sign Language translation through the Pixel Camera, and Circle to Search integrates directly into the camera experience. The phones ship with Android 17.engadget+1
