  • Ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών Marco Rubio διαβεβαίωσε την Τρίτη την Ισλανδία ότι η κυβέρνηση Τραμπ δεν έχει βλέψεις στο νησί και ότι θα ενεργήσει μόνο με τη συγκατάθεσή της.
  • Η επίσκεψή του ακολούθησε την ένταση που προκλήθηκε όταν ο Πρόεδρος Donald Trump κοινοποίησε έναν χάρτη παραγόμενο από τεχνητή νοημοσύνη που εμφάνιζε την Ισλανδία ως αμερικανικό έδαφος, γεγονός που οδήγησε το Ρέικιαβικ να καλέσει τον πρεσβευτή Billy Long.
  • Η υπουργός Εξωτερικών Thorgerdur Katrín Gunnarsdóttir δήλωσε ότι η διαφορά έχει σε μεγάλο βαθμό επιλυθεί. Ο Ρούμπιο συνεχίζει την περιοδεία του σε Ελλάδα και Πορτογαλία πριν επιστρέψει την Πέμπτη.
