  • Η πρόεδρος της ΕΚΤ Κριστίν Λαγκάρντ δήλωσε ότι η Κίνα ανταγωνίζεται πλέον την ευρωζώνη στο 40% των ισχυρότερων τομέων της, από 25% στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 2000.
  • Επισήμανε ότι οι τιμές ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας στην ΕΕ είναι υπερδιπλάσιες των ΗΠΑ και 50% υψηλότερες από της Κίνας, αποδίδοντας την απώλεια της ανταγωνιστικότητας στην έλλειψη φθηνού ρωσικού αερίου.
  • Η Λαγκάρντ ζήτησε βαθύτερη ενοποίηση της ενιαίας αγοράς, προειδοποιώντας ότι η πρωτοβουλία της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής EU Inc. "αντιμετωπίζει μόνο ένα μέρος του προβλήματος".
