  • EKP:n pääjohtaja Christine Lagarde totesi, että Kiina kilpailee nyt euroalueen kanssa 40 prosentissa sen vahvimmista sektoreista, kun osuus oli 25 prosenttia 2000-luvun alussa.
  • Hän huomautti, että EU:n sähkön hinta on yli kaksinkertainen Yhdysvaltoihin verrattuna ja 50 prosenttia korkeampi kuin Kiinassa, syyttäen halvan venäläisen kaasun menetystä kilpailukyvyn heikkenemisestä.
