A Long-Awaited Return to the Stage

Grande's last tour, the Sweetener World Tour, concluded in December 2019, drawing more than 1.3 million fans across nearly 100 shows. Since then, the singer has shifted focus to acting, most notably earning her first Academy Award nomination for her role as Glinda in the blockbuster film adaptation of "Wicked".hypebeast+1

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grande had previously expressed uncertainty about touring again, telling Variety in 2024 that she didn't see touring "coming anytime soon" as acting "feels like home right now". However, she reassured fans in a July Instagram post that music remained her "lifeline," writing: "I'm working on a plan to sing for you all next year, even if it's just for a little".tribune+1

The announcement has generated massive excitement among fans who have waited patiently through Grande's acting hiatus. With "Wicked: For Good" scheduled for November release and additional acting projects in development, the tour represents Grande's strategic return to her musical roots while balancing her expanding entertainment career.
