cnbc.com+1.africa.businessinsider.com+1.fortune.com.Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei received $17.96 million in total compensation in 2025, and his sister, President Daniela Amodei, received about $16.4 million. The figures appear in the AI company's S-1 registration statement, which was made public on Monday, October 26, according to CNBC. The filing also shows that each of Anthropic's seven co-founders holds about 240 million shares. At the price of the company's last private funding round, each stake is worth roughly $14 billion, Fortune reported.fortune.com+1
These are the first public details on how Anthropic pays and protects its leaders. The company plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker "ANT".marketwatch.com
Both siblings were paid a 2025 base salary of $654,167. Most of their pay came from about $9.26 million in stock awards and $4.03 million in option awards each, NDTV Profit reported. Their base salaries rose to $915,000 in January 2026 and then to $1.38 million in July. The filing says Anthropic "targets the 90th percentile of the AI development market" when it sets executive pay.ndtvprofit.com+1
Security made up much of the remaining pay. Anthropic spent $2.74 million on personal security for Dario Amodei in 2025, plus $97,055 on his private air travel. It spent another $1.29 million on Daniela Amodei's personal protection, home security and transportation. The company said these measures followed independent security assessments. Courtney Yu of the compensation data firm Equilar said Amodei's package "seems on the lower end for a company valued at $2 trillion," according to Reuters reporting carried by bdnews24.marketwatch.com+2
The ownership table is dated September 30. It lists stakes ranging from Sam McCandlish's 231.8 million shares to Tom Brown's 244.2 million. Together, the seven co-founders hold about 1.69 billion shares, or roughly 10% of the company. At $58.90 a share, the split-adjusted Series H price, each stake is worth between $13.7 billion and $14.4 billion. Fortune estimated that a listing at about $2 trillion could roughly double those fortunes. Dario Amodei is listed with 245.3 million shares in total. That figure includes 4.6 million shares held in donor-advised funds, which he still votes under proxy agreements.kepler.ai+1
Each co-founder has pledged to give 80% of their personal Anthropic equity to philanthropic causes. However, the filing describes these pledges as "voluntary, revocable expressions" and says they are not legally binding.fortune.com
Giving away shares would not reduce the founders' control. A single Class F share, held by an LLC that the co-founders own, carries 50.1% of the company's votes. A co-founder stays in that LLC as long as they keep at least 2% of the shares they held at the IPO. The filing itself warns that, as the founders donate stock, their "personal economic interests in us will decrease while their voting control through the Founder LLC will remain unchanged".fortune.com
