comicbookmoviecosmicbookgamesradarMarvel Studios returned to San Diego Comic-Con's Hall H on Saturday night with a sweeping presentation that included exclusive footage from Avengers: Doomsday, the reveal that Ryan Gosling will play Ghost Rider, and confirmation that David Jonsson has been cast as the new Black Panther.
The Russo Brothers took the stage alongside members of the Avengers: Doomsday cast to debut exclusive footage from the December film. The clip, narrated by Sue Storm, showcased the rivalry between Reed Richards and Victor Von Doom. "Victor, did you do this?" Reed asks, to which Doom responds: "All of you have lived stolen lives and now you must give them back." The footage concluded with Doom reanimating an army of Sentinels.gamesradar
Pedro Pascal confirmed on stage that Reed Richards and Victor Von Doom share a history in the film. Robert Downey Jr. also appeared, taking a selfie with audience members wearing Doctor Doom masks that had been distributed before the panel.gamesradar
Ryan Reynolds made a surprise appearance in Hall H as a variant of Deadpool — described as blue or grey rather than the familiar red suit. Hayley Atwell was also confirmed to reprise her role as Peggy Carter in Doomsday, opposite Chris Evans' Steve Rogers. The Russo Brothers told the crowd: "Two years ago, we asked you to trust us when we tasked RDJ with doing a 180 from playing the greatest hero of all time to playing the greatest villain, and we knew we were going to have to assemble the greatest heroes of the past ever to try to stop him".gamesradar
The panel opened with the announcement that Ryan Gosling will star as Ghost Rider in a new film directed by Shawn Levy, marking Levy's MCU return after Deadpool & Wolverine. David Jonsson, the Alien: Romulus star, was then revealed as the grown-up son of T'Challa in Black Panther 3, set for December 2028.gamesradar
Kevin Feige announced at the outset that the panel would focus exclusively on films. The presentation also included a trailer for Avengers: Endgame Encore, a theatrical rerelease arriving September 25 that will feature an exclusive look at Doomsday. Marvel The Walt Disney Company had already released the first full Doomsday trailer publicly earlier in the week, making Saturday's Hall H footage an additional exclusive for attendees.reddit+2
Notably absent were updates on X-Men casting, Avengers: Secret Wars details, and any Disney Plus series news. Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026.gamesradar+2
