blogs.nvidia+1stocktitangurufocus+1Nvidia used SIGGRAPH 2026 in Los Angeles to announce that its Spectrum-6 Ethernet networking platform is arriving at the world's largest AI data centers, while separately disclosing a 9.3% stake in cloud operator Nebius Group through a regulatory filing released on July 20.
The Spectrum-6 switch system delivers 102.4 terabits per second of switching capacity — double that of the previous generation — and is engineered as part of Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform for data centers operating at gigawatt scale. CoreWeave , Microsoft , Nebius, SpaceX, and Tesla are among the first companies to deploy the platform.blogs.nvidia+1
"Bringing NVIDIA Spectrum-6 and liquid-cooled Spectrum-X Ethernet infrastructure into our AI factories will help us deliver the bandwidth, resilience and efficiency customers need to train frontier models and deploy inference faster," said Min Jun, director of product for networking at CoreWeave.blogs.nvidia
The system pairs with Nvidia's ConnectX-9 SuperNIC and supports both pluggable and co-packaged optics along with liquid cooling. Nvidia says the broader Spectrum-X Ethernet platform delivers up to 1.6 times higher AI networking performance than standard Ethernet and sustains 95% network efficiency across deployments exceeding 100,000 GPUs.blogs.nvidia
Nvidia's Vera CPU, which the company formally launched at GTC Taipei on May 31, features 88 custom Olympus cores designed for agentic AI workloads including code execution, tool use, and orchestration tasks. The chip delivers up to 1.8 times faster task completion compared with x86 processors and is now in full production, with systems expected from cloud partners this fall.investor.nvidia+2
Separately, a Schedule 13G filing dated July 13 and made public on July 20 revealed that Nvidia beneficially owns approximately 22.26 million Nebius Class A shares — a 9.3% stake — comprising 1.19 million shares already held and roughly 21.07 million shares issuable through a pre-funded warrant acquired on March 11 as part of a $2 billion investment. Nvidia cannot exercise the warrant or sell the underlying shares before September 11.investing+1
The Nebius disclosure is one piece of a broader investment campaign. Nvidia has poured more than $15 billion into infrastructure partners in 2026, including CoreWeave, Marvell Technology , Lumentum , and Coherent, seeking to secure demand for its chips across an expanding network of AI factory operators. Nebius shares rose in pre-market trading on July 21 following the filing's publication.gurufocus+1
