prologium+1streetinsiderstreetinsiderTaiwanese battery maker ProLogium Technology announced on Wednesday that its Generation 3.5 lithium ceramic battery has entered mass production at the company's Giga-level facility in Taiwan, marking what it describes as a move beyond pilot-scale development for all-solid-state battery technology.streetinsider+1
A third-party test report from TÜV showed that ProLogium's 185.4 Ah large-format cell achieved a gravimetric energy density of 381 Wh/kg and a volumetric energy density of 903 Wh/L. In a separate assessment, UL Solutions tested the cell under China's GB/T 43568-2026 methodology, exposing it to six hours under vacuum at 120°C. The cell recorded weight loss of less than 0.05%, well below the 0.5% threshold required for all-solid-state classification. That standard has been submitted to the International Electrotechnical Commission as a reference for international standardization.energynews+2
The Gen 3.5 cell is built on ProLogium's Logithium cell architecture, which combines a ceramic separator with a proprietary edge-frame structure. The company says it has shipped more than 2.4 million cells on the platform since commercial production began in 2013, spanning consumer electronics, specialty markets and automotive applications.streetinsider
ProLogium obtained IATF 16949 automotive quality-management certification in 2022 and says its batteries are currently supplied to an unnamed U.S. automotive audio-system company and installed in vehicles from a Japanese automaker ranked among the top three in North American sales. That customer has placed more than 175 repeat orders with cumulative deliveries exceeding 900,000 cells.streetinsider
The company has also entered the unmanned systems market, targeting applications that require high energy density, fast charging and extended endurance.streetinsider
ProLogium says its next-generation Gen 4 cell, featuring a fully inorganic superfluidized electrolyte, will retain the same manufacturing platform and require modification of only about 10% of the existing Giga-level production line. The company unveiled that technology at CES 2026 in January.chemxplore+2
For its global footprint, ProLogium plans to use Taiwan as a technology-development base, France for scaled production, and a phased localization strategy for North America initially targeting unmanned systems, aerospace and AI data centers.streetinsider
